Young rapper Felistar D Superstar Felistar’s mother, Hafsah Nalubega is demanding to be allowed to spend time with Felista, especially during the holidays. Hafsah, who has not been in her daughter's life for a long time says her daughter is at an age where she needs a mother figure.  She adds that the young rapper is bad-mannered.  She wants to guide her to the right path. Nalubega also accuses her baby daddy of using their child to earn a living saying that he has no other job other than managing her.

 Gravity Omutujju is arguably the most booked musician in Uganda. The majority of Gravity Omutujju’s work comes from upcountry. When asked why he prefers upcountry gigs, Gravity Omutujju claimed he turns down most of the Kampala bookings because promoters don’t pay well. He also said he tries to be scarce in Kampala as a way of building up momentum for his annual concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.  It should be noted that Gravity Omutujju is one of the few local musicians that have managed to accumulate assets from music.

St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) on 1st February 2022 suspended Solomon Sekayi Kyagulanyi (Solomon Kampala), the son of National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine after finding him with drugs.   Kampala was suspended following a surprise check of SMACK dormitories two weeks after students returned to school. Solomon Kampala was caught red-handed with marijuana substance wrapped in papers like cigarette, according to the suspension letter dated 1st February.    Solomon Sekayi Kampala found with drugs at SMACK  “He (Sekayi) was caught with marijuana substance wrapped in papers like cigarette sticks and a lighter in his suitcase.” The suspension letter reads in part. According to the school’s disciplinary committee, Kampala was involved in acts of indiscipline incompatible with his status as a student of this school. “Kyagulanyi Sekayi Solomon is therefore suspended from the college for two weeks with effect from Tuesday, 1st February 2022...

One person is confirmed dead and 30 others are injured after a Gateway bus heading to Kotido overturned outside Soroti town today. The accident at about 11am at Camp Swahili, about two kilometres from Soroti town on the Soroti-Katakwi-Moroto road. The bus registration number UAD 694U overturned and killed a boda boda cyclist instantly. The deceased was only identified as Onongo, a resident of Ogorai village, in Arapai sub-county, Soroti district. The survivors told Uganda Radio Network that the driver of the bus tried to avoid knocking cows that were crossing the road and overturned in the process. Among the people injured included police officers, a prison wardens and UPDF soldiers. The injured were rushed to Soroti regional referral hospital and Princess Diana hospital in Soroti town. Nelson Opobo, a policeman attached to Kotido police station, told URN at his hospital bed that the bus swerved left and right before it overturned.
