UMA - Announces Voting Dates

Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) electoral commission chairman, Mr. Jeff Geoffrey Ekongo has confirmed that the public presidential debate will take place on the 21st of May 2022. The voting will be on the 23rd of the same month.


"Debate is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21st May 2022 shortly before the elections scheduled for Monday 23rd May 2022," a Tweet from UMA read.

The UMA bosses however failed to clarify whether the voting will be a digital, secret ballot, or lining up behind candidates.

The biggest competition is between musicians King Saha and Cindy Sanyu. The winner will lead the association for the next two and a half years.
